I am very interested in your yarn diet. I teach in South Minneapolis and am teaching a knitting class this week. I was wondering if you might be interested in coming in or emailing me and talking about some of the activities you are doing with your yarn stash. We got a ton of donated yarn from various places and I'm at a loss as to what to do with it all!

Interested?

[...] I think knitting ADD might be worsened when you actually have ADHD. It’s really hard (probably for everyone) to resist the idea of listing everything you want to finish or think you should finishg, have in the bag, or you want to design without becoming overwhelmed. Notice I resisted the temptation to list everything that Half the time this is what makes me go off and start a new project. On the other hand, this is exactly what I’m about to suggest that you do, sort of. Check out the concept for the knit from your stash magazine. [...]

[...] Moirae says, “I think the more you interact with your stash, the less likely you will be to buy yarn.” Wendy also explains, “the point of this exercise is to attempt to use yarn that has been marinating in our stashes. You know how it goes — you buy something you absolutely love and fully intend to knit x from it. Then you see something else and change your mind, and buy yarn for that project. Et cetera.” [...]
